LG has launched two new True Wireless earphones globally. It includes Tone Free HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6, equipped with Meridian Audio Technology. Its high-end HBS-FN6 version comes with a UVnano charging case, in which as soon as the earphones are placed, it disinfects them with ultra-violet light so that the user can use a clean earphone every time. The company claims that this can reduce the risk of ear infections.
The new LG Tone Free model is expected to start selling in Europe and the US next month, while the company has not given any information regarding its availability in other countries including LG’s domestic market South Korea.
Tone free HBS-FN6 version equipped with UVnano charging case
The LG Tone Free HBS-FN6 is a high-end version, it comes with a UVnano charging case. Apart from charging earphones, it provides additional off-charger battery life. Ultra-violet light is used in its charging case, which disinfects the earphones by placing them inside it.
This cleans the earphones themselves when not in use. The company claims that it eliminates common germs and bacteria, as well as cleansing the internal mesh and eartips of earphones. This can reduce the chance of ear infection and also makes the same earphones safe and clean for use by multiple users.
Earphones have a loudspeaker like sound experience
The special thing is that both new LG Tone Free models use Meridian Audio’s technology. Meridian Audio, a British manufacturer and developer of high-end audio equipment (such as speakers and home theater). These headphones come with spatial processing, providing users with the experience of listening to sounds like loudspeakers on earphones.
Ambient sound mode to hear outside sound
In addition, both the HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4 models feature Meridian Audio’s customized equalizer and sound settings, including natural, immersive, bass boost and treble boost.
The earphones feature an in-canal fit design for better sound output, as well as an ambient sound mode that allows the user to activate the microphone to hear and hear their surroundings.
Both earphones are water resistant
– Both earphones are rated IPX4 for water resistance. Google Assistant can also be accessed on it while using in Android device.
– It has touch controls, so that users can control the playback and volume directly on the earphones.
– The company claims that it offers 6 hours of battery life, while it can be charged twice with a charging case. It also has SBC and AAC Bluetooth Codex support.
